StakeCraft is a professional validator company specializing in secure and reliable nodes for networks such as Ethereum, Solana, and Cosmos. The company also offers additional services like snapshots, monitoring, and analytics to enhance the value of blockchain ecosystems.

The challenge

Due to Solana's high server configuration requirements, we were searching for a customized setup. Many popular data centers cannot accommodate the specific hardware needs of individual clients, particularly for non-standard configurations.

Ensuring secure and reliable nodes requires balancing encryption, security layers, efficiency, and scalability, while managing complex configurations, dynamic updates, and effective monitoring without overloading operators.

When choosing a new cloud infrastructure provider, our key criteria included high-performance servers, global availability, competitive pricing, reliability, and excellent customer support tailored to our demanding blockchain workloads. 

Compared with OVH and Hetzner, Cherry Servers stood out due to its competitive pricing, flexible configurations, and outstanding customer support tailored to our needs. 

The solution 

We opted for Cherry Servers' bare metal infrastructure to run validator nodes, relying on high-performance servers and custom configurations for blockchain-specific workloads. Additionally, we utilize monitoring tools and integrate storage solutions for snapshots and backups.

Our choice was to use bare metal servers based on their high performance and low latency, allowing optimized configurations designed explicitly for blockchain workloads, crucial for maintaining network integrity. 

We chose bare metal instead of hyper-scalers because it offers better control, stability, and cost-effectiveness for operating validator nodes. Although bare metal has slightly longer provisioning times and requires more technical expertise, it stands out due to its superior performance, enhanced security, and full customization options.

A significant advantage is the option to agree on a trial period, which allows us to test the provided server before committing to a full rental. Their support team is responsive, and they have consistently met the high-performance demands of our operations.

The result

Cherry Servers exceeded our expectations by assembling a server with a rare processor and an unconventional disk setup. Our experience with Cherry Servers has been excellent. We operate validator nodes using bare metal infrastructure, depending on high-performance servers and custom configurations tailored for blockchain-specific workloads.
